Our community's Legislative Day on the Hill is a critical component of our organizations' advocacy efforts. Virginia's economy is powered by forestry and forest products, the third largest industry in the Commonwealth. During the General Assembly session, it is vital to ensure that our elected representatives understand key issues that impact you so that they may make well-informed decisions. We hope you will join us in Richmond on January 24th to make our voices heard!
Attendees are encouraged to schedule visits with their legislators and invite them to the Open House. You may also reach out to staff with your respective organizations for assistance in scheduling meetings. Those scheduling meetings on their own are asked to email Corey Connors ([email protected]) with any legislator invitations so that we may follow up on your invitation.
Registration for the 2024 Legislative Day on the Hill is $75.00 per person and includes the Issues Briefing Luncheon, legislative visits, and the Forestry Community Open House.
Sponsorships for the 2024 Legislative Day on the Hill are available. Sponsors will receive complimentary registrations (depending on level of support), recognition during the program, and logos on printed materials and signage at the event. Sponsorship levels for the 2024 Legislative Day on the Hill include:
Parking during the General Assembly session is at a premium in downtown Richmond. Limited parking is available in the Bank of America Building, which is convenient both the Pocahontas Building and the Credit Union House...just a short walk from the garage. Though there are several garages and surface parking options, most fill quickly during session. Attendees are encouraged to plan for some extra time to find parking upon arrival. |
