Virginia Forest Resources PAC (VAForestPAC)

Influencing public policy is a tough assignment, especially when it comes to our forests. The Virginia Forest Resources Political Action Committee (VAForestPAC) provides a means to educate our policy makers on the importance of forestry to Virginia and gives financial assistance to candidates who recognize and support forestry interests.

As Virginia becomes more urban, and power shifts more toward these urban areas, it is vitally important for forestry to have a loud and clear voice in the political arena. Legislators with little exposure to forestry need to hear from us in order to understand the diverse issues that impact our industry and resources. When the Virginia Forest Resources PAC supports a candidate, we send a distinct message that we are participants in the political process, that our support is backed by the forestry community, and that many people stand behind that support.

Whether you are involved in timber management, harvesting, wood products manufacturing, conservation or another forestry-related practice, legislation that affects forestry can have a huge influence on what you do and how you do it. The Virginia Forest Resources PAC is a non-partisan state PAC that can accept contributions from any U.S. individual, corporation, union, association, or partnership.
